Google Collabed With Indonesia's Most Chaotic Trio to Prove AI Mode Gets It
Google's first campaign for AI Mode in SEA by Volt (a new creative agency). The latest Gemini-powered feature untangles long, messy questions into clear, actionable answers on the go. The brief was simple: life in Indonesia is ribet (chaotic), but finding an answer shouldn't be.
Instead of explaining the tech, we put it in the hands of NPD — Mario Caesar, Niky Putra, and Kak Kev — Indonesia's most chaotically loveable Gen Z icons. We co-wrote all five episodes with them, making sure every line sounded like them and only them. The result is Behind The Perfect Hit MV. An episodic social-first mockumentary series that Instagram cannot stop sharing, and whose comments are actively demanding a full movie. The campaign just dropped in June 2026 and is still growing. #BikinSemuaJadiSimpel #EverythingMadeSimple
My role: As Creative Director, I led a regional team of writers, designers, and producers in cracking the brief around "ribet" and developing the social-first mockumentary format. We co-wrote all five episodes alongside NPD and director Aco Tenri, who also features in the series himself, making sure every scene earned its place in their world. Their humour is so specific and so loved that generic was never an option. I supervised the shoot and music end-to-end, and we integrated AI-powered workflows throughout production to keep the creative sharp and the process nimble. We also recommended the full media architecture, leading with earned before scaling across paid, Influencer briefs, OOH, and AI-led executions for B2B partners.
